Location. Encompassing the culture of historic La Villita and the centrally located along the famous San Antonio (Texas) Riverwalk, is the Hilton Palacio Del Rio hotel. This "Palace on the River" is located across from the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and two blocks from the Alamo, Rivercenter Mall, the Tower of the Americas and the Arnesan River Theater.
Hotel Features. The Hilton Palacio Del Rio opens to a marble and stone lobby with mesquite cascading waterfall. The Ibiza Bar and Restaurant serves Mediterranean and Tex Mex cuisine riverside and provides live entertainment on weekends. Tex's Riverwalk Sports Bar offers beverages and appetizers. The Rincon Alegro, a lobby piano bar with leather sofas, antique accents and floor to ceiling windows, offers panoramic views of the San Antonio River Walk. The Hilton Palacio Del Rio features 24,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space, and the hotel's multilingual staff provides business services. An outdoor pool and spa tub overlook the river walk. The fitness center features cardiovascular equipment and strength training machines.
Guestrooms. The 22 story Hilton Palacio Del Rio features 483 Spanish provincial guestrooms overlooking the river walk from furnished private balconies. Cable television and high speed wired and wireless Internet access are available in each room. Rooms offer coffeemakers with complimentary coffee and tea. Complimentary bottled water is also included. Bathrooms provide Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries and scales.
Expert Tip. Marriage Island, located steps away from the Hilton Palacio Del Rio, was the site of San Antonio's first Catholic mass in 1691. Today, the tiny oak shaded island is the site of numerous weddings and is considered a good luck spot for couples.
