Location. The Heathman Hotel is located in downtown Portland, Ore., in the financial and cultural district. The hotel is adjacent to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. The hotel sits one block from the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. Pioneer Courthouse Square and the Oregon Historical Society are two blocks away. Hotel Features. The Heathman Hotel lobby features a commissioned mural of an 18th century Japanese Buddhist silk robe. Built in 1927, the hotel includes Art Deco style with gold leafed antique style furnishings. The hotel serves regional cuisine with French influences at the Heathman Restaurant. The on site Tea Court serves teas seasonally and includes a marble fireplace and an Austrian hand cut chandelier. The Marble Bar features an Art Deco mirror from the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The Mezzanine offers dining and meeting space overlooking the Tea Court and features artworks from the Elizabeth Leach Gallery. The hotel's meeting space accommodates up to 150 guests.
