Hotel Features. The pagoda style Hotel Kabuki Formerly known as Miyako Hotel is infused with Japanese culture, including a parking lot that doubles as a bonsai trimmed rock garden. A Japanese courtyard contains a central koi pond. The lobby is decorated with Japanese artifacts and showcases a platter depicting illustrations of Japanese landscapes based on Ando Hiroshige prints. A lower level self service business center houses three computers equipped with high speed Internet access, a printer and a fax machine. Fees apply. Beds feature pillow top mattresses and 300 thread count linens. Many accommodations include Japanese soaking tubs. Japanese Suites feature redwood saunas and furos, which are traditional Japanese bathrooms with deep tubs and separate toilet areas. Rooms include flat panel televisions and wireless Internet access. Select accommodations are equipped with high speed wired Internet access.
Expert Tip. The hotel's O Izakaya Lounge hosts evening wine and sake receptions. On Wednesdays, the reception is followed by cultural programs that teach Japanese arts such as origami and sushi preparation.
